Tyumen State Industrial University ranking of applicants. Everything about admission to Tyumen universities: budget places, passing grades and tuition fees. Why in Tyumen

The average passing score at the university was close to 170.

The first wave of enrollment took place at Tyumen Industrial University on August 3. Orders with the names of those admitted to the first year of bachelor's and specialist's degrees were signed by the acting. rector of TIU Veronica Efremova and published on the official website of the university.

According to the results of the first wave, an increase in competition occurred in all areas of training. According to the head admissions committee university Vasily Shityy, the university does not have a single field of study with an average Unified State Examination score below 60; the number of fields with an average score of 70 and above has increased significantly. The average passing score at the university was close to 170.

“It has become impossible to enroll in many areas of training if applicants have less than 200 points. And this trend will continue: the number of applicants and the level of their preparation are growing. School graduates get acquainted with the passing scores in advance and already understand that for successful admission to university you need not 200–210, as was the case in previous years, but 230–240, or better yet 250 points,” commented Vasily Shity.

The popular areas with the highest passing scores this year were “Oil and Gas Engineering”, “Applied Geology” (specialization “Geology of Oil and Gas”), “Electrical Power and Electrical Engineering”, “Informatics and Computer Science”, “ Information Systems and technologies", "Automation of technological processes and production", "Biotechnical systems and technologies", "Technology of transport processes" (profile "Logistics and supply chain management"), "Energy and resource-saving processes in chemical technology, petrochemistry and biotechnology", “Thermal power engineering and heating engineering”, “Architecture”, “Construction of unique buildings and structures”, “Construction, operation, restoration and technical coverage of roads, bridges and tunnels”.

Most of all, those entering TIU “raised the competition” in “Oil and Gas Business,” where the passing minimum increased by 45 points.

The applicant is a record holder in the Unified State Examination Andrey Shabarchin from Chelyabinsk region will study at the Institute of Industrial Technologies and Engineering. WITH overall result– 278 points (Unified State Exam – 273 points and 5 points awarded for personal achievements) he entered “Energy and resource-saving processes in chemical technology, petrochemistry and biotechnology”.

“It so happened that applicants for some areas of training do not qualify for competition at the TIU, but can enroll “on a budget” in Moscow or St. Petersburg. But it is worth calculating the economic side of the issue. Firstly, take into account the cost of renting housing, since not all universities in the capital, due to the large number of nonresident students, are ready to provide them with a dormitory. TIU offers 4,500 places in dormitories, the cost of living ranges from 4 to 7 thousand per year. Secondly, the cost of public transport in Tyumen is lower than in Moscow, and our students use a campus card, upon payment of which they receive a 50% discount. Plus other ongoing expenses that arise when a student lives away from home. It turns out that the costs of parents for maintaining a child in the capital will be much higher than the cost of training with us “under contract,” noted head Vasily Shity.

Let us remind you that an applicant who did not pass the competition for a budget place, but decided to study at the TIU on a contractual basis, must visit the admissions committee no later than August 10.

Second wave of program enrollment higher education budget form of education will take place on August 8. To participate in the second stage, applicants must provide original documents before August 6.

The number of budget places has increased at the Tyumen Industrial University. The flagship university offers more than 40 areas of bachelor's/specialist's study, and enrollment is open for updated educational programs.

How applicants can make the right choice and calculate their chances of success - recommendations from the head of the TIU admissions committee, Vasily Shitoy.

Vasily Petrovich, 1 thousand 680 budget places for admission to full-time higher education programs have been allocated to TIU this year. What is the reason for the annual increase in budget places at Tyumen Industrial University?

In terms of the number of budget places in technical areas of training, TIU is among the top ten universities in Russia. The allocation of the number of budget places by the Ministry of Education and Science is influenced by several criteria: this is a predicted indicator of the development of the industry for which the university is training, in the region and neighboring areas. The second criterion: the university’s performance indicator - the higher the quality of training of specialists, which is assessed according to the methodology of the Ministry of Education and Science, the greater the number of budget places allocated to the university. I would like to note that TIU is a participant in the “Friendly Universities of Russia” program, as well as a flagship university for several transnational companies, which in turn affects its performance indicators.

- Please name the leading areas of training in terms of the number of budget places.

In full-time study, three large groups of training areas can be named: “Construction”, where 575 budget places are allocated, the group “Oil and gas engineering, geology, applied geology, applied geodesy, geological exploration technology” - 471 budget places, “Mechanical engineering, equipment and technology ground transport, management in technical systems" - 233 places.

- This year, TIU announced enrollment for updated training programs.

Innovations in educational programs are dictated by the development of the modern labor market and the needs of customer-employers. This year we have five areas of bachelor's degree training, where admission is carried out directly to the training profiles. Such innovations affected the educational programs “Technology of transport processes”, “Operation of transport technological machines, "Trading", "Mechanical Engineering", "Biotechnical Systems and Technologies". Two master's programs are being launched: "Geosteering" and "Offshore Drilling" (direction of preparation "Oil and Gas Engineering"), which will be taught entirely at English language. We also offer two new master's programs "Development and Sales Technologies" (training field "Construction") and "Technological solutions for the construction of wells in fields with complex geological and technological conditions for their development" (training field "Oil and Gas Engineering").

- Vasily Petrovich, what deadlines should different categories of applicants to TIU be guided by?

July 10th is the deadline for accepting applications for those applying for full-time training on tests conducted by the university are graduates of vocational education institutions. This period also applies to school graduates who enroll in the areas of training “Architecture” and “Design of the Architectural Environment”, as they pass two additional creative tests: “drawing” and “composition”. New this year, these tests can also be taken at the university branch in Surgut. This was done for the convenience of applicants, since from the northern cities it is much closer to get to Surgut than to Tyumen.

July 26th ends the acceptance of applications for those who apply for Unified State Exam results for full-time study. Applicants to a bachelor's/specialist's degree can choose three areas of preparation. The original documents must be deposited on one of them before August 1st at 17:00. Enrollment will take place on August 3. If an applicant does not see himself on the list of those enrolled, then he must come and submit the original as part of his application by August 6th. The second wave of enrollment will take place on August 8.

For applicants to study under vocational training programs, the deadline for accepting documents is August 15, 19 and 24 - the date depends on the form of study and the choice of specialty or profession. On August 21, original documents must be provided by those applying for budget places for a master's degree.

- Can an applicant increase his chances of entering a university with the help of a portfolio?

Behind individual achievements an applicant can earn an additional three to ten points. Champions and prize-winners of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, school graduates awarded gold or silver medals have advantages. Prizes in Olympiads, in the organization and holding of which TIU takes part, are also taken into account. Schoolchildren can submit to the admissions committee the results of their performances at the interregional multidisciplinary Olympiad "Mendeleev", the industry Olympiad for schoolchildren of PJSC "Gazprom", the International youth architectural and art festival "Golden ArchIdea", the competition "InTraInventor".

- This year's innovation is a special bonus program for contract workers.

This year, Tyumen Industrial University has developed a special loyalty program: the higher Unified State Examination points, the lower the cost of studying at the university. Also, when paying for tuition for a year or for the entire training cycle, the amount is recalculated downwards. The price of tuition is reduced if the applicant has scientific, creative achievements. Discounts apply only to individuals enrolling in full-time studies.

The quality of education at Tyumen University is assessed internationally. Under what conditions do they apply? Foreign citizens to Tyumen Industrial University?

Foreign citizens come to us according to quotas allocated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. In general, universities provide 15 thousand places, and TIUs account for about fifty. Applicants from other countries come to us on a general basis. Representatives of Colombia, Venezuela, and Zambia have already confirmed quota receipt. In 2017, for the first time, a student from Zimbabwe will study at TIU.

Vasily Petrovich, can applicants still calculate the course of action in order to try to protect themselves from not being included in the coveted list of TIU freshmen?

The most correct thing for an applicant, after he has passed the Unified State Examination and received the total amount of competitive points, is to look at the passing scores of the previous year and compare his chances of admission. In the application, the applicant can indicate up to three areas of training. I always recommend soberly assessing your chances of admission. For example, if an applicant has 195 points, he wants to enter the “Oil and Gas Engineering” of the Institute of Transport, where last year the minimum passing score was 191, there is a chance of admission, but there is also a chance of remaining below the line. Therefore, if I were an applicant, in my application I would put “Oil and Gas Engineering” in first place, as the second I would indicate the field of study that lags behind my results by about 15 points, and as the third option I would choose a field of study that would have thirty points in reserve, and I would follow the formation of the rating.

- If applicants have questions, where can they turn for advice?

Applicants can ask their questions by calling the hotline 8 800 700 57 71. At the admissions committee, consultations are carried out by specialists from the career guidance department and representatives of the educational departments of the TIU.

The admissions office of the university is located on the street. Respubliki, 47. Additional document collection points are located at the following addresses: st. Kyiv, 78/1 (Oil and Gas College named after Yu. G. Ervieu), st. Energetikov, 44, building 1 (College of Informatics and Communications), st. Kholodilnaya, 85 (department of SPO Institute of Transport) and Lunacharsky, 2 (STROIN, INZHEKI, ARKHID).

Known to all applicants who plan to connect their lives with mining. This field is very profitable, which is why the number of applicants to this university increases every year, but, unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer free places on the budget.

Why in Tyumen?

It is to the Oil and Gas University of Tyumen that many yesterday's schoolchildren strive to work at large state-owned enterprises engaged in mineral extraction. It was not by chance that Tyumen was chosen as the location of this university; it is in this and neighboring regions that gas and oil fields are constantly being developed.

The Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, as well as the Tyumen region, are in the sphere of interests of the government and various departments involved in the export of oil and gas. It is here that new roads and railways, settlements and all the infrastructure necessary for living are being built.

History of the university

Tyumen State Oil and Gas University was originally called the Industrial Institute and was founded in 1963. The university was opened at a time when the USSR government decided to quickly develop the wealth and resources available in Western Siberia. Therefore, a specialized institution appeared in Tyumen, the purpose of which was to train specialists who would serve the oil and gas industry.

Initially, the institute was divided into two faculties; as of 1979, there were already eight of them; now their number has increased several times. In 1994, the institution acquired its current name, which it still retains. The university continues to expand; over the past ten years, the number of specialties has increased significantly, but in some of them only extra-budgetary education is available.

A little about training

As of 2015, the Oil and Gas University of Tyumen is capable of annually training about 35 thousand students in various educational programs. Today, the institution is the leading engineering and technical university in the country, where you can study in more than 100 programs. Bachelors and specialists are trained here, master's and postgraduate courses are available, and there are also courses where you can get a secondary education professional education and other working professions.

In 2007, the university managed to achieve international recognition; its teachers and graduates have the right to issue a diploma supplement, which will be valid in Europe and throughout the world. As of 2015, about a thousand doctors and candidates of science work here; the teaching staff also includes academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, laureates of various awards, and honored scientists of the Russian Federation.

University specialties

Oil and Gas University (Tyumen), whose specialties are very diverse, invites applicants to choose future professions based on their needs. Master's students, specialists and graduate students can study here, and students from other countries are also allowed to study. The specialties of the Institute of Geology and Oil Production are especially popular: “Oil and Gas Engineering”, “Land Management and Cadastre”, “Geological Exploration Technology”, etc.

The following specialties from the Institute of Industrial Technologies and Engineering are also in high demand among applicants: “Instrument Making”, “Quality Management”, “Chemical Technology”. The competition for these specialties is most often higher than usual, so if your Unified State Exam results are not very high, think carefully about whether it makes sense to submit documents here and waste time.

Faculties

If you nevertheless decide to head to Tyumen, the Oil and Gas University, whose faculties are few, will be glad to accept you into the ranks of its students. All faculties are part of larger formations - institutes. As of 2015, there are four largest institutes here - geology and oil production, management and business, transport, industrial technology and engineering.

Mansion in in this case is the center distance education, where you can get an education in a limited number of specialties. The Petroleum Faculty is especially popular; the number of students here is always much larger than in other faculties of the university.

Cost of education

Tyumen State Oil and Gas University, unfortunately, has a limited number of budget places, so those who do not have enough points will have to think about paid training. In particular, the cost of annual training at the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Production ranges from 52 to 115 thousand rubles, provided that we are talking about obtaining a bachelor's degree. When studying for a master's degree, the cost of training will be from 52 to 130 thousand rubles per year.

The cheapest place to study is at the Institute of Management and Business; for a year of study you will have to pay from 52 to 80 thousand rubles. Such prices are not affordable for everyone, so first decide for yourself whether such training is available to you, and only then apply. If you will be applying to several universities, it would be a good idea to find out the cost of studying at each of them.

University ratings

Oil and Gas University (Tyumen), which has a very high rating, is constantly expanding. According to the latest surveys conducted in 2015 by the labor market research center, the university is in 34th place in terms of demand among all universities in the Russian Federation. According to experts, such a rating allows us to see the real situation in the field of employment of all graduates Russian universities. In total, more than 450 universities in the country participated in the survey.

Such a high result is due to the university’s specialties, which are in great demand in the labor market. According to the leaders of the institution, with the help of such a survey, yesterday’s schoolchild can choose a profession that will allow him to successfully move up the career ladder in the future, as well as receive a good salary.
