Thus, a teaching methodology was used using a case system, which meets the objectives of implementing an activity-based approach to teaching. This form of student work has shown effectiveness as tasks for practical classes. Another form of control over students’ mastery of the discipline was the defense of essays as work in which, on the one hand, significant results of knowledge acquisition are reflected, and on the other, students have the opportunity to demonstrate the process of developing basic competencies. Among the variety of forms of work during training, individual and group forms of work organization were used. Of the 14 students studying in the “speech therapy” profile, according to the results of the midterm control, 5 students showed high level mastering the discipline (“excellent”), 5 students received a “good” rating, 4 students received a “satisfactory” rating. It is necessary to continue work on the formation of the bank test assignments midterm and final control in order to increase efficiency in assessing students' achievement of the expected learning outcomes. 5.2.
