Among the variety of forms of work during training, individual and group forms of work organization were used. Of the 14 students studying in the “speech therapy” profile, according to the results of the midterm control, 5 students showed high level mastering the discipline (“excellent”), 5 students received a “good” rating, 4 students received a “satisfactory” rating. Of the 13 students studying in the “oligophrenopedagogy” profile, according to the results of the midterm control, 3 students showed a high level of mastery of the discipline (“excellent”), 4 students received a “good” rating, 6 students received a “satisfactory” rating. 5. Conclusions. 5.1. The Fund of assignments for midterm and final control, which has been formed to date, provides diverse criteria for assessing students’ mastery of the discipline. However, in their present form, they make it possible to assess the knowledge component of learning outcomes to a greater extent, rather than the level of students’ developed competencies and the readiness to apply them through appropriate work actions. In the process of presenting the material throughout the lesson in order to establish feedback with the audience and consolidation of acquired knowledge, attention is paid to the participation of students in the discussion of the issues under consideration.
