Book "Journeys Out of the Body", author: Robert Monroe

Journeys Out of the Body is a classic work on out-of-body experiences and astral travel. A successful American businessman encountered this phenomenon against his will and, guided by amazing courage and common sense, began to study it.

Unlike the superstitious occultists, Robert Monroe studied his own experiences objectively and impartially; from the very beginning he used a scientific approach, began to develop a unique technique and showed himself to be one of those rare people who are ready for experimental cooperation with scientists. Monroe, with humor and sobriety, describes only what he saw and felt, without resorting to idle speculation, which is often characteristic of the interpretation of unusual and incomprehensible events.

Robert Monroe for a long time remained perhaps the only representative of “ scientific school” among the many people declaring that they have unusual psychic abilities. By the time physician Raymond Moody confirmed the widespread occurrence of out-of-body experiences in moments clinical death, the famous Monroe Institute was already crowded with volunteers eager to experience this phenomenon for themselves.

In his book “Out-of-Body Travel,” Robert Monroe also describes a method for developing the ability to experience out-of-body experiences.

Book “Reality Transurfing”, author: Vadim Zeland

The book “Reality Transurfing” by Vadim Zeland talks about very strange and unusual things. All this is so shocking that I don’t want to believe it. But your faith is not required. Here are methods by which you can check everything yourself. Then your usual worldview will collapse.

Transurfing is a powerful technique that gives you the power to do things that are impossible from an ordinary point of view, namely, to control your destiny at your own discretion. There will be no miracles. Something more awaits you. You have to make sure that the unknown reality is much more amazing than any mysticism.

There are many books on esotericism that teach how to achieve success, become rich and happy. The prospect is tempting, who doesn’t want this, but you open such a book, and there are some exercises, meditations, work on yourself. It immediately becomes sad. Life is already a continuous exam, but here they ask you to strain yourself again and squeeze something out of yourself.

You are assured that you are imperfect, and therefore must change, otherwise there is nothing to count on. Perhaps you are not completely happy with yourself. But deep down, you don’t want to change yourself at all. And rightly so, I don’t want to. Don't believe anyone who tells you that you are imperfect. Why did you decide that someone knows better than you what you should be? You don't need to change yourself. The exit is not at all where you are looking for it.

We will not engage in exercise, meditation and soul-searching. Transurfing is not new technique self-improvement, but a fundamentally different way of thinking and acting in such a way as to get what you want. Not to achieve, but to receive. And don’t change yourself, but return to yourself.

We all make a lot of mistakes in life, and then we dream about how great it would be to go back to the past and fix everything. No one promises you a “reserved seat ticket to childhood,” but mistakes can be corrected, and it will be like going back to the past. Even, most likely, “forward to the past.” The meaning of these words will become clear to you only towards the end of the book. Therefore, get ready for surprises, both surprising and pleasant.

Book “Shaman's Laughter”, author: Vladimir Serkin

Before us is a book by psychologist Vladimir Serkin, who decided to go “to the people.” He became cramped not only within the boundaries of professional academic psychology, but also in a whole range of completely esoteric new psychological practices: psychoanalysis, transpersonal psychology, transactional analysis, neurolinguistic programming.

In 1997, psychologist Vladimir Serkin accidentally met a man whom everyone around him considered a shaman. The result of their rather long communication was the book “Shaman’s Laughter”, which contains processed fragments of diary entries of dialogues with a person who lives an unusual life and communicates not only with people, but also with other creatures, who masters many amazing practices.

Some readers compare The Shaman's Laughter to The Teachings of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda. The author points out a fundamental difference in understanding the essence of man: “Don Juan believes that man is a being that perceives the world, and uses “descriptions”; The shaman believes that man and other living things create the world, and uses “practices” (activities). This difference has clear practical significance: according to Castaneda, a person, being in one state of consciousness, cannot remember experiences in another state. According to the Shaman, it is possible to “restore” part of such experience, since the “reality created by the action” remains and is perceived.”

The book “Cult of Ancestors. The power of our blood”, author: Victoria Raidos

One of the best books on esotericism that is worth reading is “The Cult of Ancestors. The power of our blood." This is the first and very long-awaited book by the winner of the 16th season of the “Battle of Psychics” Victoria Raidos. The author talks about how the actions of distant ancestors continue to influence our destiny. And answers the most main question: Is it possible to change what, in the most literal sense, is “written in one’s destiny.” The ability to learn from mistakes and improve is the basis and biological evolution, and spiritual. One of the most important human tools that helps to do this is conscious attention to the plots of one’s destiny. This is also very important in relation to the history of the family: immediate ancestors influence a person automatically, and in order to somehow change their influence, you must first understand it, but the influence of distant ancestors and the help they can give is almost impossible to feel and receive without knowledge about their fate and about themselves. Usually, in order to act correctly, you need to have a good understanding of who you are and where you are.
Victoria is convinced that this understanding largely comes from knowledge of one’s family, the history of one’s ancestors. The power that has been passed on for centuries from one generation to the next, which is located in your physics and psyche, develops into certain plots that influence your very life. If you learn to see and change these stories, you will learn to change your destiny.

What is the book “Cult of Ancestors” about? The power of our blood"

The book consists of eight chapters. In the first, Victoria talks about what the cult of ancestors is, why it is needed and what rituals associated with it must be observed. The topic of the second chapter is energy in the family: where it comes from and how it circulates between relatives, what problems may arise and how to solve them. The third is dedicated to the birth of children: the incarnation of the soul and its development in the mother’s womb, the period of pregnancy, childbirth and the first days of the newborn and his mother. In the fourth chapter, the author talks about grown-up children: how they are connected with the spirit of the family, how to raise them correctly, how to help them find themselves and realize themselves in life. In the fifth - about adults, about love and marriage: how the spirit of a family can relate to the fact that its descendant has met his love; Is it necessary to get married and how to do it correctly; how to build relationships in the family. The sixth chapter is devoted to the death of loved ones: what death means in the context of the cult of ancestors; how to say goodbye to loved ones correctly; how to bury. The seventh chapter continues the theme of death, but death is examined from the inside: what happens to a person after he dies; Is it possible to somehow influence what will happen to us after death. And finally, the eighth chapter talks about individual individuals in the family who deserve special memory from their descendants: is it good or bad to have outstanding ancestors; Should you try to stand out?
Victoria's book contains many references to folk customs and various traditional cultures. For her, this is not only a tribute to the culture of our ancestors, but also an effective tool. Victoria is sure that people who have maintained a connection with nature (including their own nature) also maintain a connection with power.

Who is the book “Cult of Ancestors” for? The power of our blood"

The book will be of interest to all fans of Victoria Raidos and, of course, loyal viewers of the television project “Battle of Psychics.” But not only them.
In any political system, in any economic situation, in any cultural environment, the unchanging truth is that you are someone's descendant. And someone's ancestor. Knowing your family system, how a person can draw strength from his family and how to behave correctly so that the connection with the family is not interrupted, but strengthens over time, will be useful for everyone. After all, a family can give not only a strong family and good children, but also a career, money, social status, and successful personal fulfillment.
Ask yourself, what kind of ancestor will you become for your descendants? Will you be the one whom they will try to forget and who will be considered the cause of all the troubles happening in the family; or those who will be thanked, of whom they will be proud, whose work they will continue? Who will your grandchildren and great-grandchildren want to be like? What conditions will those who follow you find themselves in?
Victoria's book reminds us of the most important thing: in order to change the course of fate, you need to know about the mechanisms influencing its formation.

Why was the book “Cult of Ancestors” published? The power of our blood"

Victoria created a strong, intriguing image on the screen that captured our attention for a long time. We saw how turning to the world of the dead opens up truly unlimited possibilities for her, which seemed completely inaccessible to others. However, after reading the manuscript, we were convinced: every person is capable of influencing his own destiny by rethinking the ancestral programs laid down by previous generations.
Sometimes it can be difficult to resist what the blood of our ancestors pushes us to do, especially when you are not aware of what is happening. Often, actions that are inexplicable from the point of view of common sense that a person performs are explained precisely by the tasks that he needs to solve as a descendant, and if he does not understand the conditions of this task, then solving it, of course, turns out to be much more difficult, if not impossible. If the negative information recorded in the family program is not changed, then it will affect all subsequent generations.
Victoria tells how we can transform family plots and change our lives and the lives of those people who come after us for the better. The power present in the family does not disappear and strives to manifest itself in reality.
Perhaps it depends on you whether it will be uncontrollable and dangerous or controllable and bringing good luck to those who have realized it in their family and in themselves.

You can dwell on the offense, replaying situations, disputes, scandals, reproaches in your head every time, or you can solve the problem, accept and let go of the offense.

The fact is that many traumas come from childhood, and they are almost impossible to comprehend. Liz Burbo in her book examines each of them in detail so that the reader can see himself and take action. What do people do when they feel betrayed, abandoned, humiliated? When do they feel they have been treated unfairly? Almost everyone feels hurt, angry, and hurt. Nobody wants to experience such emotions again. And therefore everyone tries to prove to themselves and others that they do not care, thus putting on a mask that prevents a person from being himself, as he is. A person can no longer experience his real feelings, open up even to himself, and therefore cannot find a way out of his problems, ceases to understand himself.

This is exactly what Liz Burbo is talking about, trying to help each reader understand, understand what injuries are hindering him, work on himself and get rid of them.

Book “Modeling the Future”, author: Vitaly Gibert

If you talk to many people about happiness, it becomes clear that few people know what this feeling is in the present. Many were happy in childhood, but gradually seem to have lost the ability to be happy. So what happens to us as we grow older? Why does everything turn out the way it does, and can it be changed? In the book “Modeling the Future,” Vitaly Gibert, a parapsychologist and winner of the 11th season of the “Battle of Psychics,” says that everything can be changed. He speaks the same language with readers, without causing confusion in incomprehensible terms. You get the feeling that you are having a conversation with a friend over a cup of hot tea in a cozy atmosphere.

The child has the opportunity to live the way he wants, do and love what he wants. Growing up, everyone experiences social pressure. Advice is heard everywhere about what to do right and what not, and gradually a person forgets about what his heart is drawn to. He suffers from fears, insecurities, resentment and anger, like all adults. The author of the book is sure that you don’t have to go far to find happiness. It is inside each of us - in that very child who knew what he wanted.

There is no need to attend special courses or go to the ends of the earth to enlightened masters for the knowledge that lives within you from birth. Just discover it in yourself - learn to trust the divine plan, live without attachments and fear, consciously choose only the experience you desire. This is the key to health, happy relationships, financial abundance and professional success.

With the help of this book, every reader will be able to listen to himself, penetrate into the depths of his consciousness and subconscious, and reveal his soul to himself. It is worth learning to acquire only the desired experience, to get rid of unnecessary and harmful things, such as resentments and fears. After all, we ourselves attract everything that is in our life. Vitaly Gibert tells how to get rid of what you don’t need and attract what you need – fulfillment of desires, harmony and happiness.

The book "Your Placebo: How to Harness the Power of the Subconscious Mind for Health and Prosperity" by Joe Dispenza

The book “Your Placebo: How to Harness the Power of the Subconscious Mind for Health and Prosperity,” authored by Joe Dispenza, reveals many secrets of how our body works.

For a long time, people have been wondering why some recover from even the most severe illness, while others die, although it all started as a common cold. Arguments have been repeatedly given that a person’s faith in his recovery, his desire to live, and his desire to do something else in life are of great importance. People and doctors noticed that those who do not want to live, who are sure that their days are numbered and the disease is incurable, die much more often than those who believe in life.

Not many people are ready to believe such facts, but when science finds an explanation for this, then, willy-nilly, you have to think about it. The author of this book explains why this happens, how our brain works, and what the production of certain substances depends on. It turns out that for our body it is not so important where emotions come from. They can arise as a result of real events, while watching a movie, or even when a person is simply thinking about something. Regardless of the source of the emotion, a person experiences certain experiences that affect the functioning of the entire body. So, for example, the pain from the real death of a loved one, as well as from the one that the person imagined in his mind and realized the bitterness of the loss, can be uniquely destructive for him. This explanation provides answers to many questions.

Our condition always affects our well-being. Thus, negative emotions destroy us and lead to frequent illnesses, while positive ones can heal not only the soul, but also the body. This is why so many people talk about how important a positive attitude is. This explains the placebo effect, where a person taking a “dummy” instead of a drug is miraculously healed. The book describes how our body works, how it is able to renew tissues and heal itself. Perhaps this will allow readers to look at the world differently and learn to believe in the best.

Book “Hackers of Dreams”, author: Andrey Reutov

Surely, many have heard about the possibility of being aware of everything that happens in a dream. It sounds interesting, to some it seems just science fiction, but to others they seriously study this topic and practice it. Andrei Reutov’s book “Dream Hackers” is based on things that really happened. A group of people did research, hiding it from others, and then this book was written. Its peculiarity is that here esoteric knowledge is woven into an artistic plot. And perhaps this is the best way to grab the reader's attention.

The book tells about an ordinary guy Maxim, who one day witnessed a strange phenomenon. Right before his eyes, a man disappeared during a shootout in an Internet cafe. He didn't die, he just evaporated. After some time, Maxim saw him again, and then they managed to talk. This man calls himself a dream hacker.

Boris told Maxim that there are people who are able to penetrate other people's thoughts and dreams. They see the world from a different angle, describe it from a magical point of view, unlike scientists. And Boris is just one of them. Their opponents are the Legion, centered in the USA, which wants to control all countries. It is necessary to protect Russia from members of the Legion and prevent the country from falling under his dictatorship. Maxim decides to become one of the dream hackers, undergoes training, learns about lucid dreams and much more.

It is worth noting that main value This book is not the artistic component, but the dialogues and the learning process of the main character. There is a lot of theory and practice on esoteric topics, I want to translate it all into reality in order to experience for myself what lucid dreams are. It’s fortunate that such an opportunity exists, because the book talks about methods that actually exist.

The book “The Highest Taste of Life. Exit from the material game”, author: Alexander Usanin

The Absolute Truth is that we are all parts of the Supreme, Supreme Personality, God. We are “cells in His body.” At the same time, both He and each of us have an eternal individual consciousness, which He endowed us with for His pleasure. Although we are all different and occupy different positions in society, we all have one purpose - serving the One Whole, God, of which we are all parts.

Diseases of the soul, for which we are treated in this world and which are the source of wars and all other problems, arise when the soul begins to oppose its interests to the interests of others, to God. Holiness is a healthy state of mind, a state of the S-PART-I in unity with God, in harmony with the world around us - this is a state when people stop opposing themselves to each other on religious, national and racial grounds, realizing their connection with the Almighty, with each other .

When a person begins to consider the well-being of everyone as part of his well-being, he comes into contact with eternity, leaves the material game, feeling the Highest Taste of Life - selfless love for everyone as a part of the Supreme.

Book “Schedule of the School of Life”, author: Alexander Usanin

The material world is a school of sublime relationships. This school has its own schedule, which is written in the energy structure of our body. Every seven years, a certain energy center - a chakra - is consistently activated in the human body, causing a vibration that attracts certain lessons of fate into our lives, which encourage us to increase our perception of the world, improve the qualities of our character, and raise the level of our aspirations a step higher. If this does not happen, lessons of a certain level follow a person throughout his life.

We need to prepare in advance for the lessons, exams of life, and the tests that we go through at every stage, because it is impossible to escape from them - they are attracted to us by the vibration of the chakras, which are activated by time and our consciousness.

Businessmen keep a diary, planning meetings. Students look at the schedule when preparing for lessons so they know what lesson they need to learn now. And it will also be useful for everyone to know what they will teach us at a certain time. We need to know about this so as not to be afraid of the lessons that will come to us each in due time. Knowing when which lessons will come is very important in order to learn them correctly and in a timely manner - after all, if we don’t keep up with educational process, behind the changes that life will push us towards, we will have problems - bad grades, which are called “crises”.

A crisis is a dead end into which we run into if we do not evolve spiritually. Getting out of the dead end of life becomes possible if we leave something behind (our previous egoism) and rise to a higher level of perception of the world - and discover that it was not a dead end, but a step, having ascended which, we received opportunities at a new level.

There are two types of people - those who learn on autopilot - those who develop good qualities through various situations in which they find themselves and those who change themselves for the better - their educational program- thanks to this, fate becomes better - they are led, in “manual control” mode, by the shortest path to perfection by God Himself.

He spent three years in isolation, and when he came out into the world again, he began to conduct seminars and share his knowledge with people through books. His books become bestsellers and are sold out all over the world. One of these popular books is “The Subconscious Can Do Anything!”

People are accustomed to believing that everything depends on some external factors, character traits or luck. But what if manifesting what we want depends largely on our subconscious? The author of this book believes that thoughts have energy, so it is important that they are clearly formulated and not wander randomly in the head. The more clearly a person thinks, knows what he wants, sees the picture of what he wants, the greater the chance that it will come true.

Much attention is paid to a positive attitude in the book. It's important to focus on the positive. You need to stop complaining, blaming fate, remembering mistakes. If you constantly think about the bad, draw pictures of terrible events in your fantasies, then this will not take long to happen. And if you imagine your success, it will definitely happen. You need to think about what you want, not what you DO NOT want. The writer talks about the importance of visualization, that is, you need to take a few minutes a day to close your eyes and clearly imagine what you want to achieve. The brain will gradually restructure itself and will strive to achieve what it wants.

The subconscious plays a huge role in human life. It can store the most significant moments of life, can influence the physical and emotional state, and therefore, human activity. This book will teach you how to work with your subconscious, how to set yourself up to achieve a goal, and not make mistakes and gain negative experiences. This book will show that if you learn to understand how the subconscious mind works and use it correctly, you can fulfill a lot of your desires!

The author of this book says that we ourselves are the cause of many of our problems. Therefore, in order to eliminate them, you need to pay attention inside yourself, you need to work on yourself.

Perhaps you once decided that you were not worthy of success, that you would not be able to become someone outstanding. Then internally you have doomed yourself to failure. Even if it seems to you that you are doing something in the direction of your dream, you subconsciously assume that you will not be able to make it come true. So that's what will happen.

Perhaps you suffer from the fact that you cannot build strong relationships. At the same time, you yourself do not suspect that you once decided that you were not beautiful enough, not slim enough, or simply not that good to be loved. And now you simply don’t allow yourself to be loved. It also happens that problems in adults, their complexes and fears originate in childhood, are the cause of improper upbringing, dooming them to failure.

The author of this book believes that all this can be fixed. Our emotions and thoughts influence our lives much more than it seems at first glance. So, for example, Louise Hay, having learned that she had been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor, decided that this was the result of resentment in her soul. And I began to work on my emotions. And just six months later, her tests shocked the doctors. This convinced her of the theory of positive thinking. In her book, she gives advice that will help a person change perceptions and maintain fortitude. She will teach you to overcome obstacles with a smile and believe in yourself. Louise Hay wants to convey to every reader that healing lies within himself. You just need to allow yourself to be happy!

According to the author - a famous opera singer, student of K.S. Stanislavsky, Bolshoi Theater soloist K.E. Antarova (1886-1959) - the book was written by her under dictation and was begun during the Second World War. The book “Two Lives” was recorded by Concordia Evgenievna Antarova through communication with the real Author through clairaudience - the way in which the books of “Living Ethics” by E.I. were recorded. Roerich and N.K. Roerich, “The Secret Doctrine” - H.P. Blavatsky. The unity of the Source of these books is quite obvious to those who read them. The teaching set forth in the books of “Living Ethics” is, as it were, illustrated by the destinies of the heroes of the book “Two Lives”. This is the same Source of the One Truth from which the Teachings of Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and other Great Teachers emerged. For the first time in a book intended for a wide range of readers, bright and deep Images of the Great Teachers are given, written with great love, Their selfless work to reveal the Human Spirit is shown.

“The real events that formed the basis for the creation of the novel “Two Lives” cannot be made public. We can only say one thing: they belong to different time periods, but are based on the facts of the destinies of really existing people, the circumstances of their lives, the events that accompanied the movement of the energy of the Brotherhood in the forms of the Earth. You should not get attached to dates, names, sequence of presentation and other facts - you will lose the thread of energy. Each hero has a prototype in which we see the image of one or another Ascetic, Collaborator, Messenger of the White Brotherhood. The stories of the incarnations of these people were skillfully woven into a single narrative and created a real idea of the life of the White Brotherhood on Earth.”

A few quotes from the book: “Two Lives”

“In ninety-nine cases out of a hundred, what people call love is in fact either their prejudices and superstitions, or their selfishness. True love will be only that which reveals all abilities and talents for creative activity, which frees the human spirit.”

“Anger is not an innocent activity. Every time you get angry, you attract to yourself from all sides currents of evil from the ether, which stick to you like leeches, ugly red and black leeches with the ugliest heads and snouts that you can imagine. And they are all the product of your passions, your envy, irritation and anger. After it seems to you that you have calmed down and controlled yourself, the storm in the atmosphere near you will still continue for at least two days.”

“Do not give in to doubts and hesitations. Do not ruin your work with denial and despondency. Cheerfully, easily, cheerfully, be ready for any challenge and bring joy to everyone around you. You have followed the road of labor and struggle; affirm, always affirm, and do not deny. Never think: “I won’t achieve it,” but think: “I will get there.” Don’t tell yourself: “I can’t,” but smile at the childishness of this word and say: “I will overcome.”

"Great wise life knows no punishments. It gives everyone the opportunity to mature and grow stronger precisely in those circumstances that are necessary only for him.”

“Every person is neither your friend nor your enemy, every person is your Teacher.”

We talk about the properties of books on esotericism and give a list of the most popular ones.

This article is intended for persons over 18 years of age

Have you already turned 18?

Esoteric literature is a completely separate branch of literature as a whole, which contains the knowledge and practice of the peoples of the world. Often books on esotericism become real helpers in life path. They teach self-development and help everyone to know themselves. The world of the unknown always attracts those around us, therefore esotericism is and will always be in demand as material for study. At the familiarization stage, books for beginners will become interesting, which, like the alphabet, will become a guide to esotericism. Many magic sites offer bibliography lists, but we will look at just a few of them.

What are books on esotericism needed for?

A detailed study of any subject requires a whole arsenal of “helpers”: videos, letters, memoirs, practices and books. Nowadays, esoteric literature is no less in demand than detective stories and business literature. In the books, masters teach beginners their techniques, describing in detail the result and their own feelings from the process. These secrets help in ordinary life, because knowing what others don’t know is already a huge driving force. Information that you didn't even know existed will become completely open to you.

Numerous esoteric books include yourself the following sections:

  • palmistry;
  • astrology;
  • numerology;
  • healing;
  • healing herbs;
  • Card reading;
  • spiritual practices.

In addition, you can learn the psychology of persuasion or, for example, reality transurfing. What it is is well described in Vadim Zeland’s book “Reality Transurfing”.

These practices will help in relaxing the body and approaching self-knowledge. Esoteric works will teach you to look at things from a different angle and perceive information the way you need. This is going beyond the ordinary, and for some, a completely new path.

The word “esotericism” frightens and alarms many. However, mystical teachings are quite popular in modern world. There are many interesting books that will allow you to learn more about this.

Literature on yoga and witchcraft can also be considered partly esoteric, it’s just that these concepts have long been part of our lives. They can help people both morally and physically. For example, Louise Hay, a famous psychologist, describes in her book how her own consciousness helped her in the fight against cancer. Her experience has helped many people who stopped believing in themselves. No matter what problem you have to face, the important thing is to approach it and hope for a positive solution. In the book “Heal Your Life. Heal your body. The power is within us” describes in detail techniques for teaching the subconscious to work in the right direction. Esoterics, as a “mystical science,” has always been shrouded in a mysterious aura, although in reality this teaching has a practical, applied basis.
The search for hidden mechanisms that drive life events, the study of consciousness and subconsciousness have always been considered a priority in the use of esotericism as a mystical teaching.
Most of these teachings have survived from ancient times. According to some reports, they were created by Atlanteans who died due to the improper use of magical powers, which caused destruction on a planetary scale.

There are also such currents in esotericism, which appeared (or appeared) not so long ago, including in the twentieth century. Of course, such serious science also presupposes serious scientists - Teachers.
Among the greatest mystics of the last century, it is worth considering the following personalities:

George Ivanovich Gurdjieff

It is not even known where he was born - in what year, in what city.
Among the dates mentioned are 1866, 1877, and 1872.
Either in the city of Alexandropol (then former Leninakan, now Gyumri), then in Kars, etc.
Family roots have two branches - Armenian and Greek.

Under the influence of his father and spiritual mentor (rector of the cathedral), the young man became interested in understanding the true purpose of life on Earth.
With a group of like-minded people, he traveled extensively to the countries of the East, Africa and Asia.
The result of these expeditions was a vast experience in studying various spiritual traditions and ancient knowledge, on the basis of which the society of “Seekers of Truth” was created.
In collaboration with the Russian scientist Pyotr Uspensky, the book “The Fourth Way” was written, which contained the main theses of the Gurdjieff system of consciousness development (incomplete from the point of view of P. Uspensky).
In many countries, Georgy Ivanovich created groups of his adherents, among which, in addition to Ouspensky, one can name other famous names of that time - Pamela Travers (author of the book about Mary Poppins), artist Paul Reynard, poet Rene Daumal, writer Katherine Mansfield and others.

His father, an outstanding writer, Leonid Andreev was married to a relative of Taras Shevchenko.
Daniel was the second son in the family and was born in Grunwald (Berlin district). After the sudden death of his mother, his grandmother, along the Shevchenko family line, took her grandson to Moscow.
The child was sick a lot, and was barely able to leave the hospital several times, although there were doctors among his closest relatives. At the age of 6, the child fell ill with diphtheria, and his grandmother became infected with it, who later died.
After the death of his grandmother, the boy decided to jump off the bridge in order to quickly get to the next world to his mother and beloved grandmother - he was saved miraculously, at the last moment.
The house of his uncle Philip Alexandrovich Dobrov, an influential Moscow doctor, was often visited by such writers as M. Gorky, I. Bunin, composer A. Scriabin, singer F. Chaliapin, actors and other celebrities of that time.
This atmosphere influenced the development of the child’s literary abilities. Having matured, D. Andreev continues his literary education.
During this period, unusual insights and experiences of a mystical nature occurred to him, which subsequently determined the receipt of valuable spiritual experience for the creation of such a monumental work as “The Rose of the World.”
The development and experience of life's collisions from birth, in the pre- and post-war period, the years spent in prison, became the difficult, sometimes painful foundation from which grew the beautiful, unbearably shaking “flower” of his creative understanding of cosmic awareness, transmitted through Daniil Andreev to all humanity .
The importance of such a work as “Rose of the World” cannot be overestimated.
Not one of the numerous works was published during the lifetime of the great thinker, poet and writer - Daniil Andreev.

Rudolf Steiner had his first experience of spiritual communication at the age of 9, when the spirit of his aunt asked him for help during a death that no one in his family knew about at the time.
When Steiner was already 21 years old, another historical meeting took place - a “chance” conversation on a Vienna train with Felix Kogutsky, who told him about the laws of nature, from the point of view of spirituality, not science.
This conversation was the first for the young man about the essence of spiritual development, which he had with a person who understood this issue.
The famous and highly respected philosopher Steiner, after receiving his education, began his activities as a specialist in the study of Goethe's worldview.

His work was greatly influenced by such figures as Goethe, Nietzsche, Hegel, Blavatsky, Fichte.

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho)

12/11/1931 – 01/19/1990

Osho, a Hindu by birth, who received enlightenment at the age of 21, becomes the conductor of a unique teaching about the free choice of methods of understanding the world, including the use of group “sex meditations” for universal development.
Osho - in Russian it sounds like “dissolved in the ocean”, “oceanic”. Osho was born in the state of Bhopal (now Madhya Pradesh), Kuchwad, British India. His birth name is Chandra Mohan Jain.
The mystic is also known under the pseudonyms Acharya Rajneesh, Rajneesh and Bhagavan Shri Rajneesh.
A new religious doctrine is the “Rajneesh Movement” (neo-sannyas), founded by him on September 26, 1970 and is still active throughout the world.
Osho criticized both the traditionalism of the methods of different religions and the socialist policies of Mahatma Gandhi, as well as the puritanical restrictions on “freedom of choice” in everything.
Osho, an internationally recognized neo-Hindu mystic and guru, is the inspiration and preacher of the Rajneesh movement, which is recognized as neo-Hindu and not oriented to the 20th century.
Such radically different views on the education and development of the soul and spirit led to the fact that society fell apart into irreconcilable opponents and equally ardent admirers all over the world.
In many countries, Osho opened ashrams for his followers, and the international village “Rajneeshpuram” was created in America.
However, it is worth noting that some countries considered the activities of these ashrams to be destructive and classified them as sects and cults.
In our country, this teaching was prohibited as being contrary to the positive line of Indian culture and the protest youth movement Western countries against the laws existing at that time.
Numerous works of Osho (more than 600) have been translated and sold all over the world, and in Russia too.
Here are just a few of the brightest stars of the twentieth century who should be known, remembered and thanked for their great work

Man has shown interest in the magical patterns of the world, questions of the divine, the highest and the desire for development since ancient times.

Esotericism consists of a huge amount of knowledge about the world, so many famous esotericists were also scientists, inventors and doctors.

Moreover, some of these influential personalities are almost unknown to a wide circle as magicians, occultists, mystics and esotericists.

Esotericism or esotericism is not a science, but a collection of scientific and other information related to the structure of the world, the perception of reality, the psychological and spiritual aspects of personal development and behavior. Since ancient times, esoteric knowledge has been considered secret and inaccessible to the unenlightened, although it is considered, discussed and interpreted very widely in our time.

The classification of esotericism is rather arbitrary, because it requires the inclusion of a variety of scientific, secular and cultural areas of activity.

In a brief summary, it can include the following teachings:

  • magic (alchemy, astrology, parapsychology);
  • Gnosticism;
  • theosophy;
  • Sufism;
  • Kabbalah;
  • psychology (yoga, meditation);
  • parapsychology;
  • Freemasonry;
  • Vajrayana;
  • anthroposophy;
  • mondialism.

This list often includes parascientific teachings (numerology, necromancy, demonology, palmistry, spiritualism, physiognomy, etc.). Next, we consider the key personalities who influenced the development and dissemination of these esoteric directions, in accordance with the direction of activity.

The most famous figures of esotericism in history

Bolos Demokritos

Bolos Demokritos or Bolos of Mendes is an ancient scientist who, according to many historians, is considered the first alchemist. It is believed that he developed the teachings of the Egyptian traditions of mysticism and practiced spells.

Egyptian spells appear in his writings with an emphasis on breath control and sounds. In general, it was Bolos’s writings that became the basis for the teaching of alchemy, which captured the minds of Western and Eastern researchers for many centuries.

In the book “Physics and Mystical Questions,” Bolos argues that the basis of materiality is harmonious unity, and matter itself is impermanent and can move from one substance to another. He formulated and attempted to classify the natural elements and forces underlying inanimate and living material forms.

It was Bolos who first voiced the idea of metal transmutation and conducted experiments on converting base materials (lead, zinc, etc.) into gold.

Jabir ibn Hayyan

Abu Abdallah Jabir ibn Hayyan al-Azdi al-Sufi is the author of many alchemical works (although it is believed that most of them were not created by him), who developed Aristotle’s ideas about the four primary properties: moisture, dryness, cold and heat.

Jabir supplemented this list with “metallicity” and flammability, believing that two of the six characteristics are sufficient to describe any metal. The alchemist claimed that dry vapors condensed in the earth turn into sulfur, and wet vapors into mercury. The differently proportional combination of these two components leads to the emergence of seven metals: gold, silver, lead, tin, mercury, copper and iron. This became the basis of the mercury-sulfur alchemical theory, which explained the properties characteristic of metals and the prospects for transmutation work.

It is believed that Jabir ibn Hayyan introduced into alchemy the concept of the philosopher's stone - a special substance that allows you to bring the ratio of sulfur and mercury in any metal to a ratio at which they form gold. The works of Ibn Hayyan also laid the foundations of numerological teaching.

Paracelsus

Philip Avreol Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, better known as Paracelsus, was a European physician, naturalist, alchemist and philosopher who lived during the Renaissance.

He is at the same time one of the founders of modern scientific views, and a prominent representative of the alchemical and natural philosophical trends of esotericism. The greatest occultist of the Middle Ages.

Paracelsus contrasted his own views on the existence of living beings with the ideas of Avicenna, Galen and Aristotle. According to him, living organisms are composed of salts, sulfur and mercury, as well as a number of other substances, and the path to a healthy and happy life is the harmony of these components.

Paracelsus is close to the principles of the multi-level structure of the physical and spiritual body of a person. He argued that the essence is composed of seven elements or bodies: physical, electromagnetic, astral, animal soul, rational soul, spiritual soul, a particle of the divine Self.

Giordano Bruno

An odious figure of the Renaissance and throughout world history.

Poet, outstanding thinker, esotericist and philosopher.

He in many ways surpassed the ideas of his time about the structure of the Universe, which strongly contradicted socio-religious principles, for which he was executed.

In the works of Giordano Bruno there are many references and appeals to Hermes Trismegistus, which makes him similar to most others famous figures esotericism, philosophy and science. Bruno was an amazing combination of natural science and mystical thirst for knowledge.

Biographers of the Italian claim that he became an adherent of heliocentrism because he saw in it a divine, magical meaning, a desire for universal order and harmony.

Robert Fludd

Robert Fludd is an English mystic, philosopher, astrologer and physician.

The medical works of Paracelsus developed and complemented the scientific heritage of Paracelsus, and in philosophy he adhered to Neoplatonism and Gnosticism.

Fludd was convinced of the close connection between science and astrology and alchemy. True, his beliefs often had a religious context. For example, he found oneness in Christ and the philosopher's stone.

Fludd is a Christian esotericist who argued that God's teachings were transmitted to humanity through Moses and Christ. According to Fluddian teaching, God is the end and beginning of everything, and the world arises from the interaction of darkness and light, as embodiments of divine power and non-existence. They are also sources of heat and cold.

When these two principles are combined, dry and damp arise, and the further interaction of the resulting four principles creates earth, fire, water and air. Thus, Fludd's teaching has much in common with alchemy, which he was interested in.

John Dee

John Dee was a medieval astrologer, hermeticist and alchemist who was born in Wales and lived in England.

Despite the fact that Dee was an avowed Christian, his worldview was influenced by Platonic, Pythagorean and Hermetic ideas, which were very popular at that time. True, Dee believed that the beginning and measure for everything is number, and even called the creation of the world an act of divine calculation.

From Hermetic knowledge, Dee “inherited” the belief in the possibility of acquiring divine power by man, but in his own way believed that this could be achieved through perfect knowledge of mathematics.

Dee, together with another legendary esotericist Edward Kelly, practiced summoning angels, spirits and Kabbalistic exercises based on numerology. At the same time, the researcher did not see any contradiction in finding a connection between mathematics and mysticism.

In addition, John Dee sought to unite the Catholic and Protestant churches. He hoped to resolve the schism by turning to the original principles of Christianity.

Mary I Tudor appointed the then famous scientist throughout Europe as her personal royal astrologer. It must be said that his predictions really came true: Dee predicted a quick death for Mary, and a speedy ascent to the throne for her half-sister Elizabeth. Many stories say that Great Britain owes the full development of the empire in Elizabethan times to John Dee.

Edward Kelly

Famous English alchemist, medium and mystic, who practiced for some time with John Dee.

He declared himself a medium on his own, claiming to have the ability to transform base metals into gold and summon angels and spirits through a crystal ball.

After his death, an opinion spread among English-speaking historians that Kelly’s abilities were far-fetched, which was supported by many legends. For some time he became a household name for a charlatan magician.

The friendship between Dee and Kelly began when the latter shocked the scientist with spiritualistic experiments. In the collaboration, Kelly played the role of a scryer - a diviner through a crystal ball. According to various witnesses, about a year after meeting and working closely together, Kelly presented Dee with The Book of Dunstan, containing white and red powder. He argued that these substances make it possible to create a special substance, similar to the philosopher's stone, with the help of which base metals can easily be converted into gold.

Kelly and Dee, together with their families, tried to gain the patronage of Eastern European monarchs, but they were unsuccessful, and the alchemists had to wander around Europe.

At this time they conducted seances, although Edward Kelly was more interested in alchemical experiments. Communication with angels was conducted in the Enochian language, which, according to the spiritualists themselves, was given to them by angels.

Agrippa of Nettesheim

Agrippa of Nettesheim is a famous physician and natural scientist who was much interested in occult, alchemical, astrological and natural philosophical ideas.

The main work of his life is considered to be “The Mystery of Philosophy.” It is known that she was revered by many other classics of esotericism, for example Eliphas Levi, who introduced the concept of occultism. The book of Agrippa describes celestial, natural and ceremonial magic. Because of his magical practice, he was perceived by his contemporaries as a warlock, magician and sorcerer.

He traveled a lot, changed professions, quickly gained and lost comrades and enemies. Because of his “black book” deeds, he acquired a negative reputation, which his ill-wishers supplemented with many fabrications. It was believed, for example, that some of Agrippa's books could drive mad or torture to death the person to whom they came after the death of the author.

Johann Georg Faust

Faust is a famous German warlock of the 16th century. He gained widespread fame only after his death, thanks to his mention in many literary works, in particular, the tragedy of the same name by Johann Goethe.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine which of the descriptions of Faust's life is based on true facts and which is fictitious. It is known that he was born and raised in Knitlingen, but was forced to flee because the residents disliked the astrologer and warlock. In these roles, he traveled around Europe, introducing himself as the greatest scientist, saying that he could recreate Christ’s miracles.

The biography of Faust is in many ways similar to the plot of the story about Heladia. This early Christian work tells the story of a man who sold his soul to the devil.

The image of Faust is used in many literary, artistic and even musical works. Characters for whom he is, to one degree or another, a prototype are also found in the Russian classics of literature Tolstoy and Pushkin.

Eliphas Levi

Alphonse-Louis Constant is a French tarot reader and occultist who worked under the pseudonym Eliphas Levi.

He showed interest in magic and occult sciences from early childhood, but initially planned to devote his life to the church. He was separated from her because he was in love. Soon after this, he became interested in Hanno's theories, which, one might say, determined his further scientific and magical hobbies.

The former monk was familiar with many famous esotericists and occultists in Europe at that time, for example, Yu. Gene-Vronsky and Bulwer-Lytton. He was engaged in summoning the spirits of other magicians. Around this time, Alphonse-Louis took on the pseudonym Eliphas Levi, which was a direct translation of his name into Hebrew. Subsequently, he lived off occult research and publication of works, and received financial assistance from followers.

The most famous esotericists whom Levi influenced: Papus, Aleister Crowley, Stanislas de Guaita. The last work of the famous magician, “The Key to the Great Arcana or Occultism Unveiled,” was published posthumously by his student Baron Spedalieri.

Papus

Gerard Anaclet Vincent Encausse is a famous French occultist at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Member of the Masonic, Kabbalistic and Rosicrucian societies, magician, occultist, medical practitioner.

Encausse spent a significant part of his youth in the Paris National Library, studying works from different centuries on alchemy, Kabbalah, magic, and tarot. He was greatly influenced by the works of Eliphas Levi, from which Gerard took the pseudonym Papus (“doctor”). Authoritative authors on occultism and alchemy for Encausse also included Louis Claude de Saint-Martin, Antoine Fabre d'Olivet, Louis Luc and Alexandre Saint-Yves d'Alvedeira.

Papus supported and developed the ideas of secret societies and orders. For a short time he was a member of the Theosophical Society of Helena Blavatsky, although he quickly became disillusioned with it. He published the magazine “Initiation”, which was, in fact, the main printed organ of the Martinist order. He participated in the creation and promotion of Masonic and Martinist societies in Russia, the Middle East, and throughout Europe. Papus was one of the organizers of the 1908 International Masonic Convention.

For modern esotericism, Papus is valuable as a talented compiler. His works systematized, analyzed and presented a huge amount of occult knowledge, most of which remain relevant today.

Padma-sambhava

Translated from Sanskrit, Padma-sambhava means lotus-born. An Indian teacher of Buddhist tantra who lived in the 8th century, one of the main cultural leaders of Tibetan Buddhism, is mentioned under this name.

In some schools of Buddhism he is considered one of the highest teachers and even the second Buddha.

The appearance of Padmasambhava was predicted by many tantras and sutras. The Mahaparinirvana Sutra even states that Buddha Shakyamuni's successor will be more enlightened than himself. Various sources claim that he is an emanation and reincarnation of the Vision of various Buddhas.

Over the past centuries, the description of Padmasambhava's life has acquired many legends and additions, so it looks more like a fictional biography than a real one. Nevertheless, there was such a person; he really preached Buddhism in Tibet and demonstrated magical abilities in order to expel the demons that had overcome the region. He personally built the Samye Monastery, translated some Buddhist texts into Tibetan, and ordained several monks from the local population.

Nicolas Flamel

Nicolas Flamel is one of the key figures in medieval alchemy. For a long time it was believed that he managed to obtain the elixir of life and the philosopher's stone.

In Paris, he initially worked as a public clerk. Having acquired the papyrus “The Book of Abraham the Jew,” Flamel became interested in translating it, since part of the book was written in Aramaic. Flamel had to visit Spanish Jewish communities under the guise of a pilgrim (they were not allowed to live in France).

Around this time, a myth arose that Flamel learned the secret of the philosopher's stone, which was later reinforced long life alchemist.

By the middle of his life, Nicolas Flamel became the owner of large property and became involved in philanthropy, charity, and sponsorship of art and architectural restorations. Wealth was also explained by contemporaries as the result of the discovery of the greatest alchemical secret.

After the death of his wife and Nicolas himself, rumors appear that both incidents were staged. Allegedly, in reality the couple continued to live. There were even witnesses who saw the Flamel couple in 1761 and 1818 in Paris (presumably Nicolas Flamel died in 1418). It is interesting that there was no body in the naturalist’s grave, which was opened two centuries later.
