Forms and methods of interaction with parents in the ORKSE course.

One of the priority areas of my activity in the spiritual and moral education of students is working with parents. I am convinced that cooperation between family and school is necessary to create optimal conditions for the spiritual, moral and intellectual development of the child.

Without interaction with the family, community with parents, without emotional and ethical support from the family, studying the subject “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” will be incomplete and insufficiently effective.

For the second year, our Krasnooktyabrskaya secondary school has been successfully implementing one of the six course modules - Fundamentals of Secular Ethics, which was unanimously chosen by the students’ parents and has been successfully implemented for the second year in a row.

How do I try to involve parents in the approbation process? I identified for myself the main tasks in the implementation of this direction:

creating conditions for parents to understand the goals, objectives and ways of implementing the educational program of the course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics”, as well as the expected result;

activating the position of parents in interaction with the school and expanding their ideas about modern school, its tasks and opportunities;

deepening and expanding the personality-oriented component of education through the use of family education methods and the potential of family spiritual and everyday experience in the learning process of this course.

The introduction of the course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” was preceded by preparatory work with parents. Main task This stage is the creation of an attitude of cooperation, the expected result is motivation and stimulation of parents' interest in the positive results of their children mastering the course content.

The first step was holding parent meetings, at which parents were familiarized with the features of testing the educational course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” using a computer presentation.

In addition, she introduced parents to teaching aids, books for parents, multimedia discs that provide teaching of this course, and answered questions that parents had.

A survey was also conducted. Based on data parent meetings parents have decided on the module that their children will study.

At one of the meetings I gave a seriesPractical advice for parents about how they can help their child study the subject “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics”?

Tip 1. Tune in to parenting; treat a new school subject as an additional means of your child’s moral development; You are the child’s main educator.

The new subject is a well-thought-out pedagogical system. Its task is to create conditions for the spiritual and moral development of the student. The education of a student at school will be carried out in lessons (through educational content, through dialogues between teacher and student, students with each other), in creative activities (students preparing final creative tasks), in extracurricular activities (holding a holiday on the eve of National Unity Day). In raising a child, especially in moral education, which is addressed directly to values, ideals, and spiritual priorities, parents play an extremely important role. Self-removal of parents from the process of moral education of students, which today begins at school for the first time in many years, will make this process unproductive. During the lessons, teachers will talk with the child about morality, but if parents do not show interest in spirituality, moral standards of socially acceptable behavior, and do not determine the parental moral position for the child, then everything said at school will not have much meaning for him.

A new, morally oriented subject opens up additional opportunities for parents to strengthen and develop relationships with their child. In early adolescence, when the child first begins to understand as an adult the world around us and himself in it, he especially needs a spiritual connection with an adult, a person dear to him.

Tip 2: Talk to your children about what they have learned in class.

Modern parents don't talk much to their children. On average, a mother talks to her child 11 minutes a day, a father even less. Parents provide for the family, solve production and household problems, and get tired after work. That's it. But there is another reason that complicates verbal communication between children and parents - there are not enough common themes between them, there is little content for direct personal communication.

The new subject allows you to significantly expand the content of verbal communication between parents and children, due to its morally oriented nature. Parents find it difficult to communicate with children about solutions mathematical problems or performing exercises correctly in physical education lessons. But every adult has a unique life experience, his own life story, knowledge of good and evil. The moral lessons of the life of man, people and humanity constitute the main content of the new subject.

Make time for your child. On weekends, read the lessons you completed during the week, there are only two of them. Surely, you will have something to add to their content. Ask your child a few questions. Let him speak, express himself, reveal himself in matters of spirituality and morality. Let him see that this is important to you. You also talk to him about life, about people, about relationships between people. Talk as much as possible.

Tip 3. A good way to raise a child is a dialogue between parents and children about spirituality and morality.

Dialogue is friendly, meaningful communication knowledgeable people aimed at achieving a result that is important to them. For a dialogue to take place, the interlocutors must take different positions and, at the same time, strive to hear and understand each other. There is everything for dialogue between parents and children necessary conditions: they are attentive to each other, one understands the other perfectly, their communication is aimed at solving common problems. Studying by children the subject “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” expands the content of dialogic communication in the family: the child has knowledge about spirituality and morality learned at school, the parent has his own life experience and the experience of other people known to him. To make dialogue more productive, use the following simple pedagogical rules.

Intentionally escalate dialogical communication by always being kind to everyone children's word. Ask your child additional questions. Sometimes disagree with him. Express a different point of view. From time to time, question not only the child’s individual words and thoughts, but also your own statements. Dialogue is a game between two smart, well-disposed people. Play with your smart child.

Tip 4. Closely monitor your child’s moral balance; Cultivate in him a benevolent attitude towards people of different worldviews.

Teachers will educate schoolchildren in the spirit of tolerance, goodwill, and respect for people whose views differ from their own. But a lot depends on the parents.

Do not make harsh assessments or categorical statements about representatives of different faiths or people who are not oriented toward any religion. Be wary if a child does this. Behind this lies a big moral problem. An unkind statement from a person addressed to someone always indicates a lack of love, kindness, and cordiality in himself. A person begins to lose moral balance and tends toward evil.

If this happens to your child, talk to him. Discuss this issue with class teacher. The experiment stipulates that the school will take place psychological diagnostics processes of moral development of students. Seek advice from a school psychologist. Find out the cause together and eliminate it.

Tip 5. Don't forget that no academic subject by itself will not raise your child; the main thing that he can acquire by studying the subject “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” is an understanding of the importance of morality for a full human life. Support this in your child in every possible way.

Why are moral standards needed? A new subject begins with this question and ends with it. If this question, posed by the teacher in front of the whole class in the first lesson, is consciously asked by the student in the last lesson, it means that he did not study in vain. This is a very difficult question. It often takes a lifetime to find the answer. But if a person asks about morality, it means that it already matters to him, is present in his life, and influences his behavior. A child asking about morality is a person acquiring morality.

And yet, what are moral standards for?

You teach your child, especially if he is still small, simple rules safe behavior: you should not touch a hot iron, go outside naked in cold weather, sit at the table with dirty hands, etc. Why not? Because such actions will lead to burns, illnesses, and will have bad consequences for physical health. Everything is clear here, and we know how to protect a child from actions that could cause him harm.

But human health is a condition that depends not only on his body. There is mental health, also called spiritual and psychological. There is social health, determined by the nature of a person’s relationships in a team, society. The word has enormous power of psychological influence on a person. They rightly say that a good word can heal, and an evil one can kill. A person’s personality lives in the space of language and social relations. Relationships with other people that a child develops at school, an adult in the family and at work, determine the state of his social health.

We know a lot about how to maintain the physical health of a child. But how to preserve and strengthen his spiritual, psychological, social health? What are the rules for this? These are moral rules, norms of moral behavior. Just like the rules for preserving physical health, they accumulate as life experience and are passed on from elders to younger ones.

A moral person leads a lifestyle that is safe for others and himself. He does not harm others and thus does not cause others to behave negatively towards him. A moral person is capable of creation, because only love creates in the world. A moral person is truly happy, because he is healthy, loves and is loved, nourishes himself from his honest labors and lives long.

Be happy, and let your children be happy!

The educational module “Fundamentals of Secular Ethics” provides great opportunities for involving parents in the educational process, in educational and extracurricular activities class, providing assistance to families in matters of raising and educating children, promoting the preservation and strengthening of the family.

At the beginning of my work I realized that a more efficient and purposeful work with parents on the implementation of the key provisions of this course.

When working with parents I use differentiated approach, which is based on identifying 4 types of families, grouped according to the principle of the possibility of using their moral potential to raise their child, children of the class:

Type 1 – families with high level moral relations;

Type 2 – families characterized by normal relationships between parents, but at the same time not providing a positive direction in raising children;

Type 3 – conflict families, in which parents have no time for children, they sort out their relationships;

Type 4 – dysfunctional families, which are characterized by rudeness, immoral behavior, and cruelty.

In the practice of organizing pedagogical activities, mass, group, and individual forms of work with parents are used. This activity is carried out in two directions:

1. Psychological and pedagogical education of parents, a significant place is given to this area, such forms of work as: individual and thematic consultations, parent conferences, pedagogical workshops and discussions are used.

2. The second area of activity with parents is to involve them in the educational process as part of teaching the course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics.”

In implementing this direction I use such forms as: days of creativity for children and parents, day open doors(open lessons (April 29 on the topic “Good and Evil”), assistance in organizing and conducting classes, joint creative work students and parents on completing homework suggestions.

The implementation of this direction is carried out using such forms of activity as:

1. The child contacts his family members in order to obtain information, for example, completing homework proposals such as an interview, writing an essay, preparing a speech at the final event.

2. Providing parents with assistance in selecting illustrative material for classes and material for the image gallery.

3. When studying topics related to everyday life, students, with the help of their parents, prepare speeches with a story about family traditions: how traditional holidays are celebrated in the family, what favorite dishes are prepared, what gifts are given to children - and other interesting and deeply individual traits family way of life.

Parents and grandparents have considerable life experience, an established view of the world, knowledge of good and evil, moral priorities and religious preferences. It is this rich content that should be involved in the educational process. Such harmonious, pedagogically organized interaction between teacher, student and parents allows, on the one hand, to significantly expand the content of the subject and give it personal (parental) meaning. On the other hand, it makes communication between children and parents moral, life topics more intense, systematic, deep and, ultimately, productive. Active inclusion of parents in the educational process, coordinated pedagogical activity teachers and parents really contributes to the content of intra-family programs for the moral education of children, strengthening trusting relationships between children and parents, mitigating negative consequences crisis of early adolescence.

Stories about family heard in class became another unifying factor in student interaction (for example, students' stories and drawings about celebrating traditional family holidays became interesting).

Upon completion academic year students presented the results of group and individual mini-projects “Glory to the native army on its birthday!”, “Origin of the surname.” Some students, together with their parents, completed the “My Genealogy” project, and some completed it in an unconventional form - creating a real family tree. (Barmina A.)

I am convinced that the training course “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” is called upon to play a huge role in the spiritual and moral education of the younger generation, in the formation of worthy citizens of our country. Such activities of kindness, understanding, and communication will move the wall of indifference, ignorance, and misunderstanding.
