The duration of training in the postgraduate course is three years. The history of the branch dates back to 1928. Initially, military specialists of various profiles were trained here. In 1964, the school began training specialists for the logistics of the Armed Forces. In 1971, the school switched to training specialists with a 4-year training period and became the highest military logistics school. In 1978, for great merits in the training of officers, the school was awarded the Order of the Red Star. Training at the branch is organized by semesters. The semester ends with the examination session. At the end of the examination session, cadets are given leave. After the winter session - 15 days, after the summer session - 30 days. During their studies, cadets are provided with cash, food and clothing allowances.

During the second year of training, cadets enter into a contract with the branch command for the period of training and the first five years of service in primary positions after graduation from the branch. From this moment on, cadets are paid an increased salary.

To obtain the necessary sports training, the branch has a modern military sports complex, including: a stadium, a large gym, gyms for wrestling, gymnastics, weightlifting, boxing, volleyball and basketball courts, a mini-football room, a hockey rink, winter and summer swimming pools, shooting ranges, gymnastics towns. There are 10 sports sections at the military sports complex: hand-to-hand combat, track and field athletics, skiing, football, futsal, volleyball, military triathlon, etc.

Story

The Military Academy of Logistics and Technical Support named after A.V. Khrulev was founded in 1900. The task of the educational institution was to train and educate officers of the quartermaster service. Until this moment, such institutions had not existed anywhere in the world. In 1906, the period of study was extended to 3 years, and the institution was equated to a school of higher military education.

The university was given academy status in 1911, and after the revolution, like many military universities in St. Petersburg, the institution became subordinate to the Red Army. In the period 1924-1925, an attempt was made at a large-scale reorganization - all faculties were distributed among military universities, which affected the quality of education of graduates.

A new round of development history began in 1932, when the Military Transport Academy was established in Moscow, and in 1935 the Military Economic Academy was founded in the city of Kharkov. The merger of the two institutions occurred in the post-war period, in 1956.
